Norm

Here is my friend Norm Weatherby at the start of yesterday's bike rally in Muenster, Texas. Norm is bundled up against the frigid 60-degree air.

The wind-chill temperature was probably 50 degrees. We were shivering. Didn't you see my brown cotton gloves and long-sleeved shirt? Remember: This is Texas and we're Texans.

I guess it's whatever you're used to having.

Around here, when the weather "warms up" to around 30 after a particularly cold stretch in the winter, you'll see people driving around in their convertibles with the tops down.

Really.

And once the temperature gets above 50, I rarely wear a coat.
